We endeavor to serve throughout the world so that all will know HE still lives

Our Inspiration

Scriptural Inspiration

The book of Acts, chapter 1, verse 8 serves as the scriptural inspiration of JJS Missions. The Apostle Luke shares a conversation Jesus had with His disciples who were gathered in the upper room after His crucifixion and resurrection. Our Savior said, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and  to the end of the earth.” (NKJV). The references to (J)erusalem, (J)udea, and (S)amaria captures the vision for “JJS“; Jerusalem encompasses our local communities, Judea incorporates our regional interactions, Samaria embodies service on a national level, and, “to the ends of the earth” provides JJS Missions with a global platform.

Our Logo

Our logo is the product of prayerful deliberation and speaks to our vision:

  • the HANDS are upraised in reverence and praise to our Lord and Savior;
  • the varied colors of the FINGERS represents the diversity of those we serve;
  • the EARTH is lovingly nestled and cradled in the hands depicting our care and concern for all, and;
  • the earth is superimposed on a HEART representing the love we share through service.

What We Believe

We carry forward the spirit and intent of Acts 1:8 through Christ-centered missional experiences:

  • Through prayer and preparation, we seek to invigorate and encourage those lives we encounter, removing self to serve selflessly.
  • We go seeking God’s presence in all we do physically and spiritually, instilling hope where there is hopelessness, and restoring faith to the faithless.
  • In service we build homes, teach in schools, mentor youth, and care for infants and seniors.
  • Through words we share personal testimonies of God’s grace and mercy.
  • In honor we give reverence to God’s word through worship experiences.
  • In adoration we seek to uphold the command of God to love our neighbor as ourselves, and care for the widows and orphans.

Our hands and hearts become the vehicles of difference and the instruments of hope to many who have been forgotten or overlooked; locally (Jerusalem), regionally (Judea), nationally (Samaria), and internationally (the ends of the earth).
